A hopper between gutter and downpipe gives 40% more flow without gurgling. Standard 280/ø80, 333/ø100 and 400/ø120, plus transitions. No soldering.
Colours and variants
Downspout connectors (hoppers) for semicircular gutters allow water to flow from the gutter into the downspout. The connection of gutter and downspout with a hopper, compared to connection without a hopper, allows 40% greater flow without clogging. Installation is easy and fast and doesn't require soldering.
The gutter is cut at the place where the downspout should be placed and the edges are bent outward. The cut opening should be larger than the pipe diameter to prevent clogging. The front edge is inserted into the rim (beading) of the gutter, then the hopper is turned so that it rests well on the curve, and its ends are bent around the back edge of the gutter.
Available in a wide selection of dimensions, such as standard 280/ø80, 333/ø100 and 400/ø120, but also as a transition between different standards (280/ø100, 333/ø80, 333/ø120, 400/ø100 etc.).
For square gutters, hoppers are manually made in several shapes and dimensions, depending on specific needs, function or aesthetic requirements.
